I recently had breast augmentation with Sientra 320cc smooth round implants. One of the implants is high and more midline than the other. My plastic surgeon said it should come down but if it doesn’t he can just adjust the placement during a later scheduled procedure. My question is, what are the risks (infection, contamination etc) of re-opening the pocket to adjust the placement? Additionally, I may need a mastopexy at a later date. Will I have to have new implants placed, or can a mastopexy be performed around the existing implants?
